Description: Five assessments were given to the students: A pre-plan assessment, a vocabulary assessment, a post-plan assessment, a sketchbook assessment, and an assessment of the completed embroidery assignment

Rationale: I wanted to know if students had experience with embroidery or sewing in the pre-plan assessment. The students reviewed vocabulary and I needed to know if they understood and comprehended the vocabulary words covered in the lessons. The sketchbook assessment showed that the students were participating and understanding the assignment. The post-plan assessment showed me what the students learned and what they struggled with. The summative assessment showed me the skill the students learned through completion of their projects.

PROFESSIONALISM, ADVOCACY & LEADERSHIP: PAL 2

Description: Planning of the art event Art Under Glass. The planning of art under glass took place over several months and several meetings. A part of the event was finding businesses and empty store fronts where the art event would take place.

Rationale: Having a safe place to showcase artwork within the community was the goal of this event. During a pandemic it was not easy to design an art show in which the community would be safe but, we devised a plan to keep artists and patrons safe by using store fronts and their glass windows to keep people outside but still able to view the artwork.
